Born and raised in the modest quarters of San Antonio, Texas, Paul’s journey was never destined to be ordinary. Amidst hardship, he unearthed strength. From a young age, life’s adversities forced him to grow sharp and determined — qualities that would later crown him with three World Championship kickboxing titles from 1990 to 1992 and earn him respect as a karate master, law enforcement professional, and trainer to elite athletes, including NBA legend Sean Elliott and professional boxer Hasim Rahman.
Paul also served as part of the security detail for the beloved Selena Quintanilla, a position that demonstrated both trust and discipline. His impact, though quiet, ran deep in circles of influence.
But triumphs alone do not define Paul’s path.
His life was abruptly shaken when false accusations by the Secret Service placed him in legal crossfire. Though the majority of baseless charges were thrown out by Judge Ludington, one was strategically left intact to prevent a wrongful imprisonment claim — a legal maneuver that exposed the brutal side of the justice system.
The aftermath of this injustice spiraled into personal heartbreak. From the estrangement with family to the devastating loss of both parents, and the unimaginable pain of losing his eldest twin daughters during Hurricane Harvey, Paul endured what few could survive. Yet, rather than be broken, he rose.
With the support and strength of his life partner and wife, Tiffany, Paul transformed pain into purpose. Together, they founded “2nd Chance”, which evolved into the powerful media and advocacy platform known as “2nd Chance Saves Lives” — a production company and nonprofit rooted in stories of hope, faith, and the power of rebirth.
Their remarkable journey caught the attention of none other than Tyler Perry, whose interest in their story has led to the upcoming “Nutall to NuRoyal” TV series — a monumental narrative destined to leave a global legacy.
