Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos Reveal They Had the “Greatest Thanksgiving” Ever in a Hotel

1 December 2025

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos revealed that they spent this Thanksgiving with two of their three kids in a hotel on Live with Kelly and Mark, marking the “greatest Thanksgiving” of their lives.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos flew their empty nest this Thanksgiving.

The couple revealed that during this year’s holiday, they opted visit their daughter Lola, 24, in London, spending the holiday in a hotel rather than hosting dinner in their New York home. And it’s safe to say they have no regrets.

“I’m going to brag,” Kelly said on the Dec. 1 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark. “We had the best Thanksgiving ever. We got out of town. We went to London to visit our daughter. And we went to a hotel for Thanksgiving. And guess what? It was the greatest Thanksgiving of our lives.”

But what left Kelly—who also shares kids Michael, 28, and Joaquin, 22, with her husband of 29 years—truly baffled was how relaxing Thanksgiving dinner was without having to lift a finger.

“You know what,” she continued, “the dinner just arrived. And then when it was done, it was cleared away.”

My experience wasn’t different than any other year,” the Scream 7 actor admitted. “I just showed up and was an honored guest and it was great.”

But for Kelly—who also celebrated the holiday alongside their oldest son Michael, though Joaquin couldn’t make the trip due to work—old habits of a great host die hard.

“At a certain point, I got up and started clearing plates, and Lola was like, ‘What are you doing?’ And I go, ‘I… I don’t know?’ ” she explained. “I’m like an old horse. You get into a routine and it’s like, ‘Oh, dinner’s over, I better start clearing plates for dessert.’ And dessert just arrived and it was heaven.”

And while the duo was on the same page about how enjoyable this year’s Day of Thanks was, they didn’t initially see eye to eye on what time dinner should be.

Indeed, the Riverdale alum, 54, sparked up a debate on when it’s appropriate to chow down on the holiday, preferring an earlier meal to Kelly, who announced that food would be served “at dinner time—6 p.m.”

“And if you don’t like that,” she quipped to her husband on the Nov. 26 episode of Live With Kelly and Mark, “you are welcome to make yourself a sandwich before because we are having dinner at 6.p.m.”

And if her family got hungry before then? As she suggested, “You guys can Uber Eats your lunch, and then we’ll have dinner at dinner time.”

Kelly and Mark aren’t the only stars opening up about how they spent Thanksgiving. To see how more celebs celebrated the holiday
