Nashville, TN July 11, 2025 Goldy Locks, the electrifying frontwoman of The Goldy lockS Band and trailblazing pro wrestling personality, has launched a provocative new campaign demanding real support for artists in the music industry.
Her project, Buy the Record, Not the Bod, features striking images of Goldy posing nude, shielded only by physical copies of her albums. The message is clear: fund the art, not the objectification.
I’ve had enough of people telling women like me to start an OnlyFans if we want to keep making music, says Goldy. This campaign is my answer. I’ll strip down for the message, not for a subscription. I’ll get vulnerable not for clicks, but to push a conversation that needs to happen. If you love an artist, buy their album. Don’t just stream it and scroll on.

Goldy’s call comes at a time when streaming pays musicians just $0.003–$0.005 per play on major platforms. For many independent artists, especially women, the financial pressures often lead to alternative models rooted in sexualization. Goldy, however, is carving a different path one built on courage, creativity, and conviction.
But this movement isn’t hers alone. The Goldy lockS Band featuring Rod Saylor (drums), Johnny Oro (guitar), and Wandley Bala (bass) thrives on a raw, DIY approach to both their music and their message. Each member brings grit, grind, and authenticity to the stage, powering a sound that’s as unapologetic as their mission. Together, they embody what it means to fight for music with meaning, proving that independent bands can compete with heart, hustle, and honesty.

That defiant spirit shines through their DIY campaigns sharp, witty statements paired with real grit. Fans can see these raw and clever posts directly on Instagram:
- No Cash, No Gas
- Dropping Singles… and Sanitation Standards
- Transmission Failure, Royalty Stall
- Cart Full of NOTHING!
- On Display, Not on Discount
- Not A Prop, A Pro
- Oil Change Not Spare Change
Each line captures the reality of independent musicians hustling against the odds, refusing to sell out their values while delivering raw, authentic music.
Goldy’s campaign also underscores the backbone of physical sales and merchandise for working artists. According to a 2024 Nielsen report, vinyl sales rose for the 18th consecutive year, proving that true fans still want something tangible to hold and that’s what helps keep indie bands on the road.

Beyond economics, this is a cultural reset. I wanted this to empower women who feel like they have to sell themselves short or sell themselves, period to stay relevant,” Goldy explains. “You don’t need perfect abs to be powerful. You need to believe your worth isn’t tied to the algorithm.
Goldy’s career spans from TNA Impact Wrestling to the music stage, where she’s performed alongside icons like Stevie Nicks, Nickelback, and Maroon 5. Her new single, I Didn’t Know, featuring Mickie James Aldis and country rap stars The LACS, continues her tradition of storytelling rooted in resilience, heartbreak, and rediscovery.

The movement is gaining momentum online with #OnlyTalent #BuyTheRecordNotTheBod and fans sharing their own stories of supporting women in music. Goldy and her bandmates encourage fans to:
- Buy or download music directly from artists
- Purchase physical albums, vinyl, and merchandise
- Share indie creators’ work online
- Engage in conversations about equity and respect in entertainment
As Goldy puts it: This isn’t about modesty or morality. It’s about agency. I took control of my body and my message. And now I’m asking the world will you take action, or just take a peek?
