From Kyiv to West Hollywood: How Khrystyna Yatseniuk Built BUNDI From a Dream Into a Cultural Movement

27 May 2025

On October 12, 2024, a young woman stood in front of her first store, the key in her hand trembling-not from fear, but from the overwhelming realization that her dream had finally taken shape. That woman is Khrystyna Yatseniuk, and the store was BUNDÏ-unveiled on her 25th birthday.

BUNDI is more than a boutique-it’s an extension of Khrystyna’s identity. Located at 8471 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, it’s the first Ukrainian multi-brand concept store in the U.S., spotlighting over 20 Ukrainian designers. But at its core, BUNDi is the product of one woman’s vision, cultural pride, and relentless drive.

Born and raised in Kyiv, Khrystyna grew up in a home filled with heritage and creativity. By age 10, she was already crafting clothes and curating looks for friends-seeing fashion not as trends, but as a form of transformation. At 18, she moved to the U.S. alone to pursue fashion styling, working tirelessly to build a portfolio while studying and freelancing across the industry.

While styling in Los Angeles, she constantly returned to Ukrainian designers- drawn to their craftsmanship and originality. But the experience was always limited by distance. That’s when the idea for BUNDI was born: a place to bring Ukrainian fashion directly to an American audience.

Khrystyna threw herself into research, retail work, and visual storytelling. She studied customer behavior and Los Angeles luxury trends, determined not just to open a store-but to open the store. One that felt intentional, luxurious, and full of soul.

She found the perfect space on Melrose and gave herself four months to bring her vision to life-from construction to curation. Every element, from the deep burgundy interiors to the elevated presentation, was chosen by her. Burgundy, to her, symbolizes strength-once reserved for royalty and now infused into every corner of BUNDI.

BUNDI isn’t just a shopping destination-it’s a cultural experience. Each piece is hand-selected by Khrystyna, crafted by Ukrainian designers blending tradition with modern elegance. It’s a space where style meets story, and where clothing becomes empowerment.

Today, BUNDI stands as a reflection of Khrystyna’s journey: bold, independent, deeply rooted in heritage- and just getting started.
