Selena Gomez shared a moment with fiancé Benny Blanco after she walked the red carpet at the 2025 Oscars March 2, where her movie Emilia Pérez is nominated.
We will not calm down about Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s glamorous date night at the 2025 Oscars.
While the Emilia Pérez star, who is set to present during the March 2 ceremony, stepped out on the red carpet at the 97th Academy Awards in a beaded, blush-colored Ralph Lauren gown, her new fiancé was not by her side. Instead, the producer—wearing a dark tux—was waiting to support her after she had her solo moment.
Indeed, Selena walking off the step-and-repeat to her longtime love, leaning in for a moment before they continue down the carpet and into the Dolby Theatre.

In addition to her presenting duties, Selena is also supporting her Emilia Pérez family as the film is up for 13 awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, with costars Zoe Saldaña and Karla Sofía Gascón up for individual acting honors.
Selena and Benny’s official red carpet debut comes just under three months after the “Lose You to Love Me” singer announced their engagement on social media.
Posting photos of her stunning marquise-cut diamond ring—which references her hit song “Good for You”—in her Dec. 11 Instagram post, she wrote, “Forever begins now.”
And though Selena and Benny didn’t walk the red carpet together, the 32-year-old already took her engagement ring for a test run during their date night at the 2025 Golden Globes in January. Indeed, her Only Murders in the Building costar Martin Short was one of the first to gush over the dazzling accessory.
The couple, who did not shy away from packing on the PDA, even got a shoutout during host Nikki Glaser’s opening monologue.
“Selena Gomez is here—double-nominee tonight for Emilia Pérez and Only Murders. And she’s here with her new fiancé Benny Blanco,” the comedian said as the camera panned to Benny planting a kiss on Selena’s shoulder. “And Benny Blanco is here because of the genie who granted him that wish. Man, lucky guy.”
But all jokes aside, the couple’s adorable moments extend beyond their glamorous award show date nights. The next day, Benny took to social media to relish in being the biggest winner of all.
“Woo, look at my girl,” the 36-year-old shouted in a Jan. 6 TikTok video of the “Good For You” singer getting ready for the Globes in a light blue gown, adding the caption, “I got to take home the best award of the night.”
More recently, the “Look at Her Now” singer announced that she and Benny are teaming up for an upcoming musical collaboration, releasing their first song “Scared of Loving You” that same day.
“I always trick you guys,” she wrote on Instagram Feb. 13. “My NEW album ‘I Said I Love You First’ with my best friend @bennyblanco, is out on 3/21.”
